The Yosemite Overnight Super Saver is designed for the independent traveler seeking maximum flexibility and value, providing essential round-trip transportation from San Francisco directly to the natural splendor of Yosemite National Park. This service is the perfect, no-frills option for those who want to dedicate multiple days to exploring Yosemite Valley, High Sierra trails, and iconic landmarks like El Capitan and Half Dome on their own terms. We handle the long drive, allowing you to relax and conserve your energy for hiking, climbing, or photography.
We offer flexible options to suit your desired stay: the 2-day, 1-night trip, the 3-day, 2-night trip, or the extended 4-day, 3-night trip. This “Super Saver” model focuses exclusively on efficient transit and does not include any activities, meals, park entrance fees, or—crucially—accommodation. Travelers must be fully prepared to handle all logistics within the park, including securing their own reservations for lodging (e.g., camping, hotels, or rental cabins) well in advance, as same-day availability is extremely rare. This tour offers a low-cost, stress-free travel solution, ensuring you have ample time to experience Yosemite’s breathtaking sunrises and starry night skies without the commitment of a guided itinerary.
By choosing the Overnight Super Saver, you gain the freedom to craft your ultimate Yosemite experience, dictating your schedule and chosen destinations across your chosen duration. Simply board our comfortable vehicle in San Francisco, enjoy the scenic journey, and then immerse yourself completely in Yosemite’s vast beauty before meeting the bus at the designated time and location for the return trip based on your selected 2, 3, or 4-day option.

As an independent traveler, the Yosemite Super Saver is exactly what I am looking for. I don’t need to be tied to a group schedule, so the transportation-only model was ideal. The convenience of having the long drive and the park entrance fee covered was fantastic—it let me maximize my time hiking and photographing, instead of worrying about logistics. I chose the 4-day option and felt completely immersed in Yosemite Valley. If you want maximum freedom, value, and an authentic, unguided experience, you will absolutely love the Super Saver.
**Sample Itineraries: We do our best to follow our itineraries as written, but don’t control the weather (yet) and we can’t make promises about special events or traffic conditions in Yosemite. The benefit of having small groups is allowing our guides the flexibility to tailor your itinerary to best suit the needs of the group. While we guarantee that we’ll do our best to provide you with all of the highlights within this itinerary (conditions permitting), we do not guarantee them in this specific order. **
6:00 – 11:30am: As we embark on our journey, we’ll pass by some exceptional San Francisco sights. Catch views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz Island and the incomparable San Francisco Skyline as we head east on the Bay Bridge. You’ll taste a piece of California’s rich agricultural hub as we pass through a slice of the Central Valley famous for specialty fruits and nuts such as almonds, walnuts, cherries, and strawberries.
11:00am – 12:30pm: We’ll continue into the mountains as we connect with the rich history of California’s gold country, passing through some of the first settlements built during the Gold Rush. Take in the earthy forest smell as we make our way to the heart of the park. Your guide will pepper in stories and historical facts about the different sights. With an intimate group, there’s plenty of time to stop along the way to take pictures with the beautiful panoramas.
12:30pm: We made it! We’ll arrive in the early afternoon at the Yosemite Valley Lodge or Curry Village; both centrally located in Yosemite Valley. You can choose to quickly stash your luggage at the front desk and meander around the valley, or grab a map and plot your route for the day. Your guides will be sure to give you a run-down on your options for activities and where to get the best eats.
7:00am – 3:30pm: Now is your time to shine! Want to hike or bike around? You’ll have options to meander or bike down paved paths, hike the trails, engage further with the park’s history at the visitor center, or visit the Ansel Adams Gallery. Make sure to keep an eye on the time to make your way to stop 7 for the 3:30 departure back to San Francisco on your return day.
3:30pm: Now is the time to kick back and enjoy the ride back West through the mountains, orchards, and fields towards the city. Enjoy the skyline of San Francisco at night as we cross the Bay Bridge and return you to your lodging.
