“A highlight of our Alaska trip, an excursion that we hope to do again, it was truly an amazing day on the glacier. Our guides Bill and Dawn were fantastic, a lot of passion, knowledge and respect for this beautiful place. We had a great time on the glacier and then a delicious meal with our small group at a lodge overlooking the glacier. Although it was gloomy in Anchorage when we left, the sun was shining 2 hours north east from it and casting beautiful light on the glacier. The hike itself is easy, the crampons provided are just perfect to ensure a safe walk. Highly recommend this activity, it’s probably a rare place where you can access a glacier easily from a road, and without having to be an skilled mountaineer to experience this beautiful icy landscape.
