For over 30 years, Incredible Adventures has been hitting the open road, taking travelers from the foggy streets of San Francisco to the breathtaking vistas of our National Parks. Today, we are beyond thrilled to share some monumental news: we have officially been inducted into the San Francisco Legacy Business Registry!
This recognition isn’t just a badge of honor—it’s a testament to three decades of commitment to our community, our environment, and the spirit of adventure that started right here in the Golden City back in 1993.

What Does it Mean to be a “Legacy Business”?
In a fast-changing city like San Francisco, the Legacy Business Program honors the landmarks and institutions that have anchored their neighborhoods for 30 years or more. To be eligible, a business must be a cultural asset that contributes to the unique flavor and history of the city.
After a rigorous application process that began in March 2025—and a fair amount of patient waiting—we were officially approved by both the Historic Preservation Commission and the Small Business Commission this February.
“Our small groups provide a relaxed, fun-filled experience while minimizing the environmental impacts on the local communities we visit. Being recognized as a Legacy Business validates our mission to stay rooted in SF while protecting the wild lands of America.” — Incredible Adventures Team
The Road to Approval
We want to give a huge shout-out to our team members who represented us during the hearings. If you want to see the “behind the scenes” of how a legacy is made, you can watch the recorded sessions:
