Standing at the entrance to Death Valley, our first exploration and photo stop on this amazing adventure is the old Ghost Town of Rhyolite. It is a long-abandoned gold mining community and has been used as a set for many movies and documentaries. We then proceed to drive down a beautiful winding highway and enter the center of Death Valley from the east. It feels like landing on Mars as you enter a foreign and strange world of endless desert, vast valleys, harshly sculpted peaks, garish colors, and superbly adapted plants and animals. All are visible expressions of geologic time reckoned in millions of years. This is Death Valley, the driest, hottest climate imaginable – an immense, wild land that man has never tamed.

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to capture the view of the valley from Hell’s Gate, which is well above the valley floor. We will also visit Badwater at 282 ft. below sea level. Additionally, we will enjoy views and stops at Zabriskie’s Point, the Devil’s Golf Course, the Furnace Creek Museum, the Salt Lake, the Sand Dunes, and the Artists Palette. The majestic mountains, colorful canyons, volcanic craters, and salt pinnacles all make this trip a photographic-sightseers dream come true.

Please note that tours operate year-round. For the truly adventurous, we offer this tour in spring, fall, and winter, as well as throughout the summer months for the hardiest of adventurers. It’s also important to note that due to conditions outside of our control, such as extreme heat and traffic, it is sometimes necessary to alter the itinerary to best suit the group’s needs. While we will do our best to provide you with as many of the highlights within this itinerary as we can (conditions permitting), we cannot guarantee a definite itinerary.
