Itinerary

SAMPLE ITINERARY

DAY 1

6:00 – 11:30am: As we embark on our journey, we’ll pass by some exceptional San Francisco sights. Catch views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz Island and the incomparable San Francisco Skyline as we head east on the Bay Bridge. You’ll taste a piece of California’s rich agricultural hub as we pass through a slice of the Central Valley famous for specialty fruits and nuts such as almonds, walnuts, cherries, and strawberries.

11:00am – 12:30pm: We’ll continue into the mountains as we connect with the rich history of California’s gold country, passing through some of the first settlements built during the Gold Rush. Take in the earthy forest smell as we make our way to the heart of the park. Your guide will pepper in stories and historical facts about the different sights. With an intimate group, there’s plenty of time to stop along the way to take pictures with the beautiful panoramas.

12:30pm: We made it! We’ll arrive in the early afternoon at the Majestic Hotel, Yosemite Valley Lodge or Half Dome Village; all centrally located in Yosemite Valley. You can choose to quickly stash your luggage at the front desk and meander around the valley, or grab a map and plot your route for the day. Your guides will be sure to give you a run-down on your options for activities and where to get the best eats.

DAY 2

7:00am – 3:30pm: Now is your time to shine! Want to hike or bike around? You’ll have options to meander or bike down paved paths, hike the trails, engage further with the park’s history at the visitor center, or visit the Ansel Adams Gallery. Make sure to keep an eye on the time to make your way to stop 7 for the 3:30 departure back to San Francisco.

3:30pm: Now is the time to kick back and enjoy the ride back West through the mountains, orchards, and fields towards the city. Enjoy the skyline of San Francisco at night as we cross the Bay Bridge and return you to your lodging.

**Sample Itineraries: We do our best to follow our itineraries as written, but don’t control the weather (yet) and we can’t make promises about special events or traffic conditions in Yosemite.  Having small groups allow our guides the flexibility to tailor your itinerary to best suit the needs of the group. While we guarantee that we’ll do our best to provide you with all of the highlights within this itinerary (conditions permitting), we do not guarantee them in this specific order. **

Want a Fully-Guided Tour Experience?

Our knowledgeable guides will give you a small-group tour experience you’ll never forget! They know the ins and outs of the park and are happy to take you to all their favorite, most photogenic spots in all of Yosemite National Park!
