Kate grew up with four older brothers in Ann Arbor, Michigan with the ability to spend her summer’s wakeboarding, tubing, swimming and exploring the woods surrounding her family’s cottage in central Michigan. After traveling to Beijing, China with her dad in 2010 to visit her brother, Kate fell in love with international travel and studied abroad at the University of Cape Town in South Africa for 6 months in 2014. Kate is quite an adrenaline seeker and was able to check skydiving, bungee jumping, cage diving with 4 meter Great White sharks and zip lining over Victoria Falls off of her bucket list while on study abroad. After graduating with a degree in Psychology from Western Michigan University, Kate traveled to Vittorio Veneto, Italy for a teaching program through GreenHeart Travel. There, she taught kindergarteners to seniors in high school English, History, Media and Science and loved interacting with all of the young intelligent minds there, living with her incredible host family and being able to eat her favorite food, tortellini with butter and sage. Kate is planning to snowboard in New Zealand and Patagonia in the future, and is enjoying the Californian views in the meantime.
