A Massachusetts native, Brian’s earliest camping memories were forged in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and throughout the other New England states. He and his wife relocated to the Bay Area after exploring Yosemite and falling in love with California during a 17,000 mile, 38-state, National Park focused road trip.
Brian instilled his passion for camping in his family early on; both of his daughters experienced their first camping trip before their first birthday. Later, to share his love for adventure and foster connections, he began a “Daddy Daughter Camping” tradition. Through this, he organized and led trips that brought young ladies and their dads into the mountains for multi-day camping and fishing adventures.
An unapologetic fly fishing addict, Brian can often be found swinging a stick back and forth over his head, surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of California’s mountain streams. He pursues rainbow, brown, and brook trout, as well as steelhead, and will eagerly show you fish pictures upon the slightest provocation.
His varied work history reflects a commitment to community and education, including creating a youth suicide prevention program, leading a financial planning network, and teaching 8th-grade history. Brian deeply believes in the transformative power of wilderness adventure, and he can’t wait to step off the pavement and into the woods with you!
