Check out the sea lions on the docks at Fisherman's Wharf!

One of the most visited areas of San Francisco, Fisherman’s Wharf is located on the northern waterfront side of the city, adjacent to and including Pier 39. Famous for its many seafood restaurants, souvenir shops, and the resident sea lions on the docks, it is also a great viewpoint to San Francisco Bay to the north and the steep hills of Pacific Heights to the south. Two classic ways of reaching Fisherman’s Wharf from the downtown area are either taking the Powell-Hyde cable car line up the steep hills or taking the F Market streetcar along the Embarcadero.

You can experience Fisherman’s Wharf on our 1- or 2-Day Hop-on Hop-off City Tours, as well as on a GoCar, a Segway, or by Renting a Bicycle! Your departure for an Alcatraz Tour, Sailing Cruise, or Bay Ferry Cruise will also be from the Fisherman’s Wharf area. While you’re there, make sure you check out the Aquarium of the Bay!
